Some stuff you might think is interesting..but if you hate reading here are some pics and vids to entertain your millennial brain.

You maybe recognize me from…

I was thrilled to be an original cast member of the Drama Desk Award winning Queen of the Night at the Paramount Hotel in NYC where I was both an assistant dance captain and the first understudy to Sarastro (principal track). I am currently the resident choreographer & creative collaborator for PRIMME, an up and coming queer pop artist and a Co-Founder and Resident Artist of MinuteZero, an immersive events company whose most recent clients have included HULU, Rag + Bone, Under Armour, and the Brooklyn Museum. Most recently I have been choreographing commercially and assisting on video work as well as on a new theatrical production (TBA when I can say more!)

It all started when…

My REAL dance training begin in Oklahoma City at the age of 7 (prior to that I was dancing by myself in the back yard for hours every afternoon or in routines made up by my older sister). I feel lucky to have been a “competition dancer,” first at Connie’s School of Dance under Connie Strimple and later under Emily Carter-Shock at Applause Studios winning multiple scholarships at conventions as well as regional and national recognition (if you dig really hard you might find me dancing on Hall of Fame). I also had the opportunity to dance with Dare to Be Soul Dance Company, the brain child of Destini Rogers (yes, that Destini, and I’m freaking lucky I still get to dance with her on a regular basis in NY).

These are some people that impacted me early on…

I had the privilege of working with Jill Johnson, Andrea Miller, Sidra Bell, and Kyle Abraham at Creative Director Alexandra Wells’ Movement Invention Project in 2009 and 2010, and was able to work with Compagnie Marie Chouinard at Springboard Danse Montreal in the summer of 2010. I earned my BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College (go Griffins!) in New York City under the direction of Katie Langan, where I honed my choreographic skills by presenting work in the bi-annual student choreography showcase. While at Marymount, I was cast in every Main Stage production- performing repertoire by Martha Graham, Erick Hawkins, May O’Donnell, and Takehiro Ueyama as well as new works/world premiers by Benoit-Swan Pouffer, William Soleau, Alessandra Prosperi, Nancy Lushington, and Katie Langan.

Just some of the awesome stuff I’ve gotten to do professionally…

I began working with TAKE Dance while still attending Marymount and had the privilege of being a part of the Bessie Schonberg Residency at The Yard in Martha’s Vineyard, MA, directly after graduating. There I helped create new works by Kate Watson-Wallace and Charlotte Griffin.
A few of my favorite companies to work with:
Tania Pérez-Salas Compañía de Danza in Mexico City
Korhan Basaran and the Artists in NYC and Instanbul
Nacre Dance Company in Saratoga Springs, NY
I was proud to a member of the STEPS Repertory Ensemble, for 2 seasons, where I worked with and performed works by Cherice and Aszure Barton (Aszure and Artists), Larry Keigwin (Keigwin + Co), Benoit-Swan Pouffer (Cedar Lake), Zvi Gotheiner (Zvi Dance), Nathan Trice, and Shannon Gillen (Vim/Vigor).  I was a part of BARE Dance Company's creation of Venomous and an original member of Mettin Movement. I was also a dancer (and swing) for Cycle 3 of Josh Prince’s Dance Lab NY, working with choreographers Camille A. Brown, Karen Sieber, Marcelo Gomes, Geoffrey Goldberg, and Josh Prince.
